We currently have an opening for a developing HR professional who is seeking a contributory role with a desire to expand their HR knowledge and responsibilities.

The HR Assistant will be responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to questions on administrative HR procedures and practices and answer HR policy-related questions - providing guidance to managers and employees and escalate as appropriate.
  • Assist in the recruiting process, including: job description updates, job posting, resume screening and coordination of interviews.
  • Assist in employee onboarding and the ongoing development of the candidate experience.
  • Handle day-to-day benefits administration to include; enrollments, changes and assistance with the annual open enrollment process.
  • Assist in development of communications to employees.
  • Assist with employee relations, payroll, 401k administration, Workers' Compensation, health and safety, and unemployment claims.
  • Maintain personnel files, ensuring compliance with I-9 documentation and records retention.
  • Assist with routine HRIS tasks.
  • Provide daily and vacation back-up to the front desk directing incoming calls and handling walk-in product sales.
  • Help to continuously build and develop HR initiatives at Quicksilver.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience in an HR support role and proficiency in MS Office. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, experience with an HRIS and/or ATS, and recruiting experience preferred.

  • Strong ability to build trust and act with discretion maintaining confidentiality in all areas of HR
  • Must be able to read and interpret information, present numerical data and skillfully gather and analyze information
  • Must be organized and able to operate with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Results driven and proactive, working with independence to make decisions requiring applications of judgement based on knowledge of policies, procedures and operating practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving work and market environment
